This week I coasted my bike down Avenue Gambetta’s massive hill from my ‘hood to attend a lecture given at the town hall of the 11th district. There’s a good reason so many public bicycles are abandoned by their riders in the middle of the city – the bikes are always ridden downhill, but never seem to make it back up.
