Summer in Paris is unpleasant, worse than in the countryside. This is already the worst summer I've experienced here in 38 years - and it's only started. We managed to buy an AC before this new wave arrived.

Visitors always marvel and wonder about not having screens on windows, but honestly, we don't really need them. (Not like in my native Virginia, where mosquitoes and poisonous spiders are rampant.)
